Lines for the Solo Voice

The fields are lovely here with fall,
With goldenrod, fleabane, and aster.
She who is gone, where she once stood,
The landscape now has moved on past her.

Showered and scented, all nature wants
Me, with no heart, to go out with her and
This is how heaven must have looked
While Christ was away upon his errand.
